11/27/12: Ohio Casino only hires non-tobacco users

More companies are demanding that potential employees be non-smoking. Penn National Gaming, the owner of the new Ohio-based Hollywood Casino, will use drug test screening to ensure all employees are non-smokers, with the goal to improve health of its employees and to reduce insurance costs. Ohio is the first state in the nation to have statewide non-smoking gaming. Other states, including New Jersey, have allowed exemptions by casinos of their smokefree air laws.
