10/10/11: Cigarette vending machines illegal in Ireland and England

The sale of tobacco products from vending machines will become illegal in England beginning October 1, 2011 and in Northern Ireland on February 1, 2012, making it harder for young people to obtain cigarettes. Plans are underway to introduce similar legislation in Wales and Scotland.
