5/19/11: Seaside Park bans smoking in recreational areas.
The Seaside Park Borough Council has expanded an existing smokefree ordinance for fishing and crabbing piers to include all public recreation areas - beaches, boardwalks, and parks. The ordinance goes into effect as soon as the signs are posted, which is anticipated to be before Memorial Day. Read the Asbury Park Press article about the ban.
